The Duratec is an all aluminum engine that comes in at just over 200 pounds. Originally available in front wheel drives, a 1.8L and 2.0L, it now comes to the US as a 2.3L and 2.5L in Ford Ranger, Ford Focus, Mazda3, Mazda6 and late-model Mazda Miata.
